Halewood Electrical is a one-man, one-standard operation. Every job is quoted, carried out and signed off by the same qualified electrician — so nothing gets lost between an office and a subcontractor. After 18 years working on Greater Manchester's housing stock, from Victorian terraces in Chorlton to new apartments in Ancoats, there is very little we haven't already put right.
Every installation is certified and notified to Building Control where required, so your paperwork stands up at sale or letting.
You'll never be charged just for us turning up and taking a look.
You approve a written figure first. No hourly-rate surprises and no "while I was in there" extras.
Fully insured for domestic and light-commercial work, documentation available on request.
Dust sheets down, boots off, cables clipped properly, and the site left cleaner than we found it.
Most of our work comes from repeat customers and neighbour recommendations across Greater Manchester.
Talk it through with an electrician, not a call centre — Call 0161 000 0000
All work is carried out to BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations) and certified on completion. Below is what we're called out for most across Greater Manchester.
Replacing old rewireable and MCB-only boards with a modern RCBO consumer unit, giving you proper individual circuit protection and a fully tested, certified installation. Typically completed in a single day.
Supply and installation of 7kW home chargers, including load assessment, dedicated protected circuit, DNO notification and app setup. We'll advise honestly on whether your existing supply can take it before you commit.
Electrical Installation Condition Reports for rental properties, sales and peace of mind, with a clear plain-English summary of C1, C2, C3 and FI codes plus a fixed price for any remedials.
Whole-house rewires for older properties, with a realistic plan for the disruption, staged working to keep you living in the house where possible, and full certification at handover.
Additional double sockets, USB sockets, outdoor sockets, downlights, feature lighting, dimmer solutions, garden and garage supplies, and cooker or shower circuits.
Tripping RCDs, dead circuits, buzzing switches, burning smells and intermittent faults traced methodically and fixed properly rather than patched.
Interlinked mains-powered alarm systems installed and tested to current standards, including landlord-compliant layouts.
Armoured supplies to garages, home offices, workshops, hot tubs and garden lighting, correctly protected and buried to depth.
Loss of power, water ingress into electrics, burning smells or exposed live parts — call any hour and you'll speak to an electrician.
We keep our standards high by staying in our lane. We don't take on new-build developer contracts, and we don't carry out industrial three-phase installations. If that's what you need, tell us anyway — we'll happily point you toward a specialist we'd trust ourselves.
Not sure which you need? Send a photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you straight. Message on WhatsApp
Call, WhatsApp or email with a short description of the problem or project. Photos help enormously and often save a visit.
We assess the work — remotely where possible, on-site where needed — then send a clear written quote with a fixed price, an itemised scope, and no call-out charge for the visit.
We arrive when we say we will, protect your flooring and furniture, keep you updated as we go, and test every circuit as it's completed.
You receive your Electrical Installation Certificate, Minor Works Certificate or EICR, Building Control notification where required, and a walk-through of exactly what changed.
From first message to certificate in hand, you deal with one electrician throughout.
Based in Manchester and covering a 20-mile radius, we're rarely more than a short drive from your door — which is why we can realistically offer genuine same-day emergency response.
Just outside the 20-mile radius? Get in touch anyway — if the job suits, we'll travel.
Same-day emergency response across the full radius, subject to availability.
Electrical work is one of the few trades where the paperwork matters as much as the workmanship. Here's exactly what backs up ours.
Independently assessed on the technical quality and safety of our work, our test equipment and our certification. Registration number available on request.
Notifiable domestic work is registered with Building Control on your behalf, and your compliance certificate follows automatically.
All installations designed, installed, inspected and tested to the current IET Wiring Regulations.
Formally qualified in periodic inspection and testing, which is what an EICR should always be carried out by.
Cover held for all domestic and light-commercial work, with a certificate available before we start if your letting agent or managing agent needs it.
You always receive documentation: an EIC, a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate, or an EICR. If someone doesn't give you paperwork, you don't have a certified installation.
18 years of work, and the recommendations still do the selling.
"Our fuse box was ancient and two other electricians just quoted a number by text. Halewood actually came out, explained what was wrong and what wasn't, and did the whole upgrade in a day. Certificate emailed the same evening."
"Needed EICRs on four rental flats before renewing tenancies. Straight prices, no drama, and the reports were written so I could actually understand what needed doing. He's done all my properties since."
"Booked in for a 7kW EV charger and he told me upfront the supply needed checking first rather than just taking the deposit. Neat install, cable run hidden properly, and he set the app up with me before leaving."
"Power went off across half the house at 9pm on a Sunday. Answered the phone himself, was here within the hour, traced it to a failed cooker connection. Genuinely grateful."
"Full rewire on a 1900s terrace. He staged it so we could stay in the house, kept the mess under control, and the price at the end was the price we agreed at the start."
There's no contact form on this website on purpose. You get straight through to the electrician doing the work.
Free quotes. No call-out fee. Fixed prices agreed before any work begins.
